Pre Appointment Information

What do I need to bring to my Dynamic Cycling Analysis appointment?

Last updated on 20 Oct, 2025

This depends on the type of appointment you have scheduled. Please read all the information below.

Initial Dynamic Cycling Analysis & By the Hour Appointments

Below is what you need to bring to your Initial Dynamic Cycling Analysis levels I & II as well as your 'by the hour' appointment.

  • Your bike - Please make sure the bike is clean, in good working condition and that bolts are not rusty or stripped. More below.

  • Cycling shoes - If your cleats are worn out, please do not change them before your appointment, because we need to record their current position and wear pattern. If your cleats need replacing, please purchase new cleats and bring them with you. If you plan on using multiple shoes riding the same bike, please bring multiple shoes to your appointment

  • Orthotics - If you use them in your cycling or regular shoes

  • Cycling shorts / bibs - We really need to see your joints during the off the bike assessment and while you ride. In addition, we will be placing stickers and sensors on various anatomical landmarks. To increase the accuracy of the data collected, we need you in tight cycling shorts / bibs. Nothing baggy, loose fitting, or anything that goes past the knee (this is very important!). If you are coming in with a triathlon bike, please bring your triathlon kit

  • Cycling jersey or a sleeveless top - Something relatively form fitting is better than a baggy T-shirt, if possible. No long sleeves please, we need to see your elbows.

  • Parts - We have 50+ saddles available for you to try during your bike fit session and everything else needed, but if you have particular parts you want to use, bring those with you. If the bike came with proprietary parts, please bring those with you as well.

  • Helmet - Bring your helmet if you are experiencing neck discomfort and/or if you are bringing a TT or triathlon bike

Pre + Post Purchase Appointment

This information is relevant to your first pre purchase appointment, where we use the sizing bike.

For what you need to bring to your second appointment (the post purchase session), please refer to the what to bring to your dynamic cycling analysis session article.

  • Cycling shoes, with cleats - If your cleats are worn out, please do not change them before your appointment, because we need to record their current position and wear pattern. If your cleats need replacing, please purchase new cleats and bring them with you.

  • Orthotics - If you use them in your cycling or regular shoes

  • Cycling shorts / bibs - I really need to see your joints during the off the bike assessment and while you ride. • Optional You can bring your bike if you have one, to be used a reference point.

Additional Important Notes

Please avoid using sunscreen and / or body lotion the day of your appointment. We will be placing stickers all over you and they do not stick at all to skin if you have used either products
